Ralan Wong, DDS, MS
3 CE Units (Core)
Dental pain has plagued the general population and professional team for ages. Patients’ perception of pain, the primitive tools used by dental clinicians to assess and diagnose, and a lack of pulpal pathosis understanding make it difficult at times to determine the origin of dental pain. As a result, patients can suffer greatly and are left with a nagging reminder of their dental caregiver’s inability to help them in times of need. Understanding how pulpal pain manifests is crucial to diagnosis and consequently, how to deal with the pain.
Dr. Wong’s presentation will highlight basic principles of pulpal pathosis, our understanding of it, and its relationship to dental pain.
Ralan Wong, DDS, MS graduated UOP Dugoni School of Dentistry 1992, received his Endo certificate and masters degree in oral biology at Univ of PA School of Dental Medicine 1997. Among Dr. Wong’s accolades: induction as a Fellow to the Pierre Fauchard Academy, International College of Dentists, Academy of Dentistry International, and the American College of Dentists. He is an associate clinical professor in endodontics at UOP and maintains a private practice in San Francisco. Still early in his career, Dr. Wong is respected worldwide as a lecturer, practitioner, and teacher.
