PRESENTATION
With 10 years’ experience in guided implant placement and 3D printed models, Dr. Massoomi brings us the latest update on guided oral surgery and robotics in dentistry. His presentation focuses on recent improvements in CBCT technology, guide fabrication, and 3D printing demonstrating how they improve patient outcomes and aesthetics in a predictable manner, also providing published data showing that guided implant placement is becoming the standard of care, replacing "free-hand" implants.

SPEAKER BIO
Nima Massoomi, DMD, MEd, MDUniv PA – 2001, Oral Surgery – Vanderbilt – 2007. Cosmetic Surgery – Ohio State - 2008. Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, fine-tuned skills in management of soft-tissue and skin with internationally known facial surgery expert Dr. T. William Evans. Dr. Massoomi is currently a clinical instructor at UOP Dept of Oral Surgery, maintains two practices, and is collaborating with scientists to develop a robotics platform to perform a wide variety or procedures- one being the FDA approved robot for guided implant placement called “Yomi”.  He has lectured nationally and internationally on the use of tech in oral surgical procedures with the goal of improving surgical outcomes using CBCT.  He spends his free time biking, hiking, running, and searching for the best burger in San Francisco.
